Being a part of the beauty industry is something I take a lot of pride in. Anytime I can help my clients feel refreshed and vitalized, is a great day! This industry is one that is constantly growing- and I thrive when I feel that I can contribute to that evolution! Everyone deserves to feel special and taken care of, so it brings me so much joy when I can offer my knowledge and talents to do so! As a stylist, its my job to offer my expertise in this ever-changing world, and I am always up for the opportunity!
I have been in the hair industry for many years. I previously owned my own salon for over 20 years, while also being an advocate for over 10 years for the “Look Good, Feel Better” program for the American Cancer Society. One of my proudest accomplishments was receiving recognition with Schwarzkopf, in Hamburg Germany, for selling the most hair color during the World Olympics, as well as receiving 2 weeks of training during my stay there.
I’ve always been passionate about the arts, and for the past 5 years, hair has allowed me to be connected to that world. I especially love learning the newest trends, and building new techniques within the color arena. Growing up with naturally curly hair- I especially connect with my clients who experience the same challenges and triumphs as myself. Taking my clients ideas, and turning them into reality gives me a great deal of pride in what I do, and I wouldn’t change it for the world!
I’ve been hair-obsessed since my Barbie’s first haircut in 1987. Since then, I’ve come a long way earning countless certificates for cutting, coloring, keratin treatments but the most gratifying was being invited to The Wella Institute in NYC. Being a part of the beauty industry for over 20 years has taught me that making a guest look beautiful on the outside is just one aspect of my job. I’m able to help my clients feel beautiful. It is such an honor to be a part of a guest’s transformation. I feel that as a stylist, my job is not just accomplished with a pair of scissors and a new color, but with commitment to making my guests feel like the best versions of themselves. I take so much pride in being a part of this process.
I started my career in early childhood education, and was feeling a lack of passion for my career. I then started my new path in the beauty industry, where I’ve been told that I have a peaceful energy- which allows me to feel connected with my clients, while earning their trust and creating their vision. Upon working in the salon, I became a certified lash retention technician, adding even more joy to my clients lives with voluminous, thick, natural looking eyelashes!
